A good exhaust can be loud-ish without being offensive. A load rumble is probably easier to get away with than a harsher note. I think it also depends if the car has a kit etc which may invite a closer look than a stock looking car does. It also depends how you drive it. Gentle take offs from the lights etc, means not a lot of noise if I am careful. So far, so good

Ashley you will have to go for a spin in Peters car to fully appreciate it's performance. Peter took me for a quickie at the BFI day that he hosted, and I must say I was very impressed. You can actually feel the car wants to go harder than what Peter was pushing her. With the added throatiness of the exhaust - truly sounds like a larger V8. Mine is not as loud, even though I thought we were running the same gear. Still haven't put her up on the hoist to check what was put on her. Was over 2 years ago that I had everything done and will have to check to see what's there to work out the difference between Peter's and mine. Am on holidays next week so as you live on same side of town - probably could catch up so you can see/hear the difference. Cheers

Yeah I'm very interested in hearing the difference. Will a little luck (and me sneaking out) I should be able to get to see Peter today. I'm still now sure how loud I want it. When I hear it I'll know, if just might take some adjustment with the fat headers I've got on the way. PM me when you have spare time.

I managed to get out to see Peter today... OMG... what a BEAST! It's nice and quiet at idle and cruise but when you plant your foot down (especially in the adelaide side streets) LOOK OUT!!! Hopefully I can get something sorted out like that, it might be a little too loud though for the way I drive. I'll see about calling you on the weekend Tamatha, I think I have to work all day saturday and probably getting dragged to the car show on sunday so we might have to make it sometime next week if you have time. Thanks again Peter, it was Awesome!

It was fun, you could hear the rivets in that close fence rattling as we thundered past it hehehe.. Also saw Jovica's lovely Orange/Black Soarer as we were cruising - sweet indeed!

If the weather is anything like today, this cruise should be excellent. Went for a mini hills run, absolutely lovely up there right now. Not much traffic either as it isn't really tourist season. So everyone put your hand up and be there!

Hey everyone, as I am only just able to get back on again (thanks Peter), thought I'd let you all know that as yet have only picked the date. I have time this week to start picking where we will be going. Will need to plan and do a run to time before letting people know more details. This one will be a cruise/lunch with no go-karts. More relaxed and casual. Will wait for the warmer months to do longer cruises as suggested. As long as I can log on, will keep you all informed - otherwise will pass info on to Peter to post. See you all soon.

Awesome. We should get a register of people that will be going. Maybe I might have the exhaust done by then... maybe. Probably best to avoid go karts. I pwn with pw/kg no one at work will race me any more :-(

Sounds cool but I think I speak for all the turbo drivers when I say (hot days + turbos = less power) or did you plan it that way so the V8's can keep up?

Hey Ash, I know this must be hard to believe (I am struggling) but there is ANOTHER Soarer out there with Nissan wheels... I just saw your car in your profile and unless you repainted you car from white pearl (with an extra helping of pearl), the car I used to see a lot in Mawson Lakes wasn't you! Ash the trendsetter!!

What... No way... That's umpossible. Seriously freaky Dave. What are the odds? Now I'm going to have to get some Mazda wheels or something just so I can be different!

I'm gona pass on this one. I don't know why it is but after the last 2 cruises I've been invited along to, I am just really uninterested in cruises atm. I think it has something to do with the fact that I perceive it as driving around all day without actually getting anything done?!? Let me know if/when you guys have another 'hands on' day, similar to the recent bfi'led day and I'll come along to that.

Tamatha, maybe next time you organise a run you could include Hanson Rd, so that Ben has something to do

It is hard to organise a 'working day' as locations can be hard to source. They are quite time consuming, and costly (which goes un-rewarded) to arrange. I find cruises easy to organise and a lot cheaper to arrange. If people want to come, they do.
