Ok, guys, I've managed to break an engine mount, as yet undertermined which side, but I had them both "reconditioned" when I did the rebuild, and so I kinda feel if one has gone, the other is most likely to as well.
Was wondering if any of you lovely WA people had one or both spare that you wanted to sell me? I've got two brand spankers coming across as part of the group buy, but in the meantime I've got an MC day this saturday, and would prefer to have a replacement in by then.

Toyota dont have spares, and the useless plicks at Newtown Toyota or whatever that one in Vic Park is are really not interested in dealing with anything japanese import.
Havent had time to get out to any wreckers, thats a job for my scheduled free day on friday.

Cheers guys - I've sourced a second hair pair for $150.
Assuming I dont break these in the meantime, I'll be hanging onto them as a spare set once my new ones come in from the group buy, so if you're ever in need of one, you know who to call

Shane in future if you need any parts like that go to City Toyota on Stirling hwy just 5 minutes up the road from the uni... happy to get Soarer bits and better prices than from over east on most stuff.
From what i can gather only City, Melville and Gallaria Toyota are worth dealing with when it comes to Soarer parts...

Phil - nice tip! I've dealt with Galleria before, they were good, just a mission to get to for a southie like myself.
Every time I walk into New Town, even with part numbers written down or a printout from the parts cd, they give me the same old routine - "we cant help you until you give us the VIN number etc, we have to look it up in the system using that..." and I'm like "yes, I've got the same CD thats on your system, and here is the printout with your system codes on it..." to no avail.
As it turns out, my first pair of replacements have fallen through....but I have found a second pair for even less, and off a JZZ30 frontcut, so they'll definitely fit - even better!!

OK - yet another set of engine mounts have turned out to be broken...
BUT!!!
I have discovered that both JapWreck, in Beckenham just off Albany Hwy, and Just Toyota in O'Connor near XSpeed do these aftermarket engine mounts brand new for $165 each, and carry stock.
I have grabbed a pair, and will let you know how they fare copping a hammering at the MC Day on saturday.

I got a pair of $165ea mounts from just toyota in o'connor for my JZA70 (though I did have to take first pair back as top stud on both were too short, but 2nd set was fine)

Just to confirm, swapping mounts over...
I simply need to disconnect the radiator hose, undo the mounts nuts top and bottom, and then I should have enough clearance to jack the engine up high enough to swap the mounts?

In theory, yes that sounds about right.
I guess if that isn't enough you'd have to undo the transmission mount as well to be able to get a bit more angle (and possibly take the tail shaft out of the trans)
