Upper Coomera out behind Oxenford and the Movie World Studios. NOT DREAMWORLD Coomera.
If you are going to look seriously Jan, find an Estate Agent on Oxenford and ask them if there are any properties on Bignalls Road. Perferably on the West side.
I promise you if you look there you will find it hard to choose anywhere else.
I just would like to move to Qld and I would like to know peoples opinion where to live there, then I can go there and make my own opinion, much easier than move around till you find a place you like, someone has to have the same taste as me. Paul you right there.HAHAHAHAHA

I live in Tanawha, which is five minutes drive from Buderim. Buderim is very fashionable as it's on top of a now defunct volcana 9I don't think anyone actually thinks too much about that fact) and there are brilliant sea views. However Buderim is manic at school chucking out times. Maroochydore is about 15 mins drive away and has got some great shops as well as beaches. Then there's Maloolabah wich is also about 15 mins from me. This is a sort of mini-Gold Coast and very popular with 20-30 year olds. It's got terrific beaches and good surfing.
Then there's Kawana (yes, 15 mins away as well) which also has beaches, canals and a lot of shops and light industry.
I've been here 6 years and love it here. We're an hours drive from Brizzie (or and hour and a half by train) and are very much in the centre of loads of things.
Personally, I love the quiet areas so I have 11 acres and a sea view and only have the occasional car pass my front driveway. However I too, must now up and find myself somewhere roughly around the 300- 400 thousand mark.
I'm trying to find somewhere not yet 'discovered' so I don't have to pay premium prices.
Not sure what it's like where you live but one of the unexpected pro's about this area is that parking, although not as good as it was a few years ago, is pretty much free. You can park all day in the large car parks attached to things like 'Sunshine Plaza' etc and for a pom, where we would have to sell our grannies just to pay for a couple of hours in a tight crappy piece of tarmac, this is a revelation!
Finally, we have something like 300 days of sunshine per year. Hope this helps
