I'm in the process of buying new rims for my TT and I've managed to find a set of 18's for sale that fit the bill nicely and are at the right price. The only problem is that I'm up in Sydney, and the rims are in Melbourne...
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be the cheapest and easiest way to get the rims from Melbourne to Sydney? I know that each rim is slightly too big to go via AU Post, and I'm imagining that a regular courier is going to be frighteningly expensive... Has anyone done this before?

i did it once for 17" wheels, a guy in VIC purchased my wheels.... we used VIC fast and it set me back bout $60 - $70 , forget exactly how much ... but that was the cheapest quote i got.

Well, bus Freight looks to be my best bet - 4 wheels for $136 from Melbourne to Sydney isn't too bad in comparison to the $300+ quotes I was getting from courier companies, so I can't complain.
And a nice long cruise is kinda out of the question... I can't really afford to kill off a whole weekend retrieving them - not to mention that I'd go through $200 bucks of fuel in the process and be 2/5 off the way to the next service...
