I am also pretty sure it's this end, but I am beginning to wish I just ignored the issue :-)

Probably not the worst idea Pen! I mean ultimately this forum is pretty rock solid, i been on here a bit and never had any major dramas.

I don't really understand how the issue can prevalent (haven't seen discus before this joint). The pages should be dynamically produced whether the back end is using flat text files or some kind of sql database. So if its in one place it should be everywhere but it is a computer thing, so it has the power of abnormality

Well that's for the current release, so unless this ones an older release and works differently?

Meh, if it aint broken to badly dun fix it

This is current release except for a beta with anti-spam facilities for systems that don't require users to register.

The buglets are in part due to the skin I used, then some more due to the extensive modifications.

However, it works perfectly in IE and only has a minor annoyance in FF, so it's not high priority to debug it all.

If/when the next version gets released (it's been promised for a couple of years now), then I will probably look at it all more closely - unless I suddenly get bored and have free time, or wish to procrastinate doing something else :-)

Well the problem used to be for every post for me, but lately it's sporadic, so maybe it will just go away by itself....

Here's to wishful thinking

[rant]
Personally it never bothered me, forums tend to have weird idiosyncrasies and the fact that I avoid the use of the bug filled, under featured, standard breaking, spyware promoting browser named Internet Explorer I think I can deal with a couple of underlines here and there.

Agreed.

Oh and Peter, the no gap between the title banner and the menu bar has always been standard for FF, not just with the latest version.

If it bothers you all that much that the forums aren't standardised with generic web standards, you can get an extension for Firefox which will allow you to use the IE rendering engine rather than the Mozilla/Netscape one.

You keep all the same security aspects of Firefox whilst using the more common rendering engine!

Figure out how to get it yourself! ;D

IE does not comply to web standards period. Many years web developers have had to put up with complying to Micro$oft's version of "Standards". So out of pure principal I would disgrace my browsing experience!

LOL sorry I get carried away and I can be rather cynical when it comes to anything Microsoft related :-)

Yeah Leon, but remember IE6 was developed in the day when MS still wanted to call the shots and generic standards were still in their infancy.

Now that proper standards have been setup and they have been proven to be effective MS are coming to the party more.
MS are actually doing the same with everything these days, they take an idea and twist it their own way, but they look at what is working already which shows less pig-headded brain activity that used to be shown.
