Hey I have a couple of questions that have been bugging me. I tried a SEARCH but ended up with heaps on stickers and not much else.

1. Where is the demarcation between ALSC and SC? I know SC is the official forum of the ALSC. I joined a forum(SC). Does that make me a member of ALSC? If not how do I join?

2. Is ALSC a registered club as such? Do I have to list it as a club of which I'm a member when joining/visiting other registered clubs?

3. Is ALSC affiliated with CAMS etc? Do they hold track days/rallies etc like other car clubs? If not is there a car club in NSW suited to the Soarer?

None of these are war winners. It just came up in conversation with a mate who is a member of a car club that is CAMS affiliated etc. (they've all got cool shirts too!)

1. SC is the forum of the ALSC. the ALSC home page is
www.lexusaustralia.org. IF you are a member here then you are a member of the ALSC.

2. No, and that is probably your choice if you wish to list it with other clubs.

3. Again, No. We are not a C.A.M.S. affiliated club, However we still have many track days, cruises and gatherings. See the events section for more info on this.

It is not in fact a club in the formal sense. More a collection . Principally, there are no fees so there are no formal responsibilities on the people running the Collection nor any governance rules except those they make up.

Cheers!

I haven't seen a track day in NSW come up in the last six months, but hey maybe I missed it.

Jeeezzus. I did not know that site(
www.lexusaustralia.org. ) had all that info. Now I understand why SC doen't have a decent FAQ page. It is all on the ALSC site. I have just wasted another night in front of the 'puter. I haven't got through it all yet. A lot of it seems out of date. That is, not a lot of events etc since 2002/2003.

That site was being updated offline Ben, but i have not had the time to finish what I started, and hence it has been left untouched online... It might change over the next few months....

Luke.

Plenty of cruises maybe. Only track day this year was notification of a UAS event in APRIL.

I just hit "new posts" every time I check in. Don't miss much that way.
