Thank God that crap is gone. Left or right the host (whatever his name is) was an annoying, self righteous, arrogant, unfunny twat. But thats just my opinion. And, like assholes, we all got an opinion....

Sure some people are going to hate it but it had a cult following. I dont think the ABC realised the popularity of the show until the announced they were going to axe it. It was my favourite show and in my opinion the funniest show on tv!

Funny you say that, when i first discoverd the show 3 years ago i thought the exact same thing but over time it grows on you...
I think its clear the government played a major role in terminating it.

The thing is, they didn't really play favourites. They took shots at everybody.
Last night for example, they took shots at both John Howard (one of the guys called him Bonsai - "a little bush") and also Kim Beazley.
They also take it out of each other a lot too. Offensive? Possibly to some people, but if you watch it with an open mind, there really is a lot of wit and humour in there.
As you can guess, I really liked the show, but I am not a lefty (or really a righty either for that matter).

Spot on Peter, but a show with opinions and independent views.... couldn't have that now could we.
The saddest thing is i never watched it for the political stuff, i watched as it was a damn funny panel comedy and i think 99% of the viewers felt the same way.
To quote Corinne Grant, when asked if she thought Howard called for the show to be axed she said something along the lines of; "I never thought of our show to be political, i thought it was just 20 minuets of dick jokes"

Very sad loss to the Australia. The ABC gave no real reason why it was axed, just saying "it had passed its time." I bet Howards got the Chasers next in his sights. Leave our TV alone Bonsai!

The axeing came shortly after the ABC hired a Chief Censor to review all programmed shows on the channel for evidence of political bias. The ABC is paying this person $280'000 for this job, yet claimed The Glasshouse was axed for "economic reasons."
$280K for such a BS job?? Geez, I wouldn't mind watching TV all day and make judgements on it and get paid heaps. Sometimes I wish I worked for the government in some crappy useless bullsh|t role yet get paid farkloads for it! Grrr those overpaid public servants!!!

It's not good Just about the only show on TV the missus and I both enjoyed. I'm not the biggest fan of Wil, but overall it was a unique show and should not have been chopped.
