307kw at the fly, measured in Holdens subjective reality. Most brand new Holdens have wildly varying power figures compared to manufacturers statements, mostly due to poor manufacturing, but also due to bullshit measuring techniques, like ancilliary stripping etc. Two identical cars can perform totally differently from day 1 out of the factory.
Also the average SS would be a couple of hundred kilos heavier than a TT.

There was a bit of debate a while ago between Ford and Holden over this. Ford uses an optimistic standard which removes all parasitic loads such as alternator, water pump etc. Holden's is more realistic, but I wouldn't argue with your suggestion that they are poorly manufactured (did they ever come up with a fix for LS1 piston slap???).

Yeah thicker oil I heard they re-engineered the piston rings so they are harder wearing. They had slap cause they had to meet emissions, so tried making rings as low friction as possible. It only seemed to effect the oz ls1 for some reason.
