Scuze moi for being a diddle, but what is the advantage in getting a w i d e screen.

I only ask coz I'm gonna be poichasing a NEW pc in Feb. with the new(ish!) Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (C) 2.40 GHz processor thingy.

I don't do games n' stuff apart from COD I & II, and Battle Field Vietnam.

Am I depriving meself of a visual experiance by just going with a normal 19" LCD?

Hmmmm, k, over here in Baa land HP are asking a $400(NZD) difference.............Hence why I don't wanna spend the xtra bucks unless necessary.

But, then again I can go for generic, and get the same schizzle for a LOT less bucks........Your opinion?

You'd want a reasonable LCD to play games on. Doesn't have to be top of the range. Only problem with wide screen is that a lot of those games don't support it without a bit of hacking, so all the characters look like oompa loompa's! Wide Screen definitely pwn's for movies though!

What sort of graphics card you looking at? I hear pc parts are ridiculously expensive over there!

I've had a Leadtec 7800GTX for a while, beautiful card! Expensive though.
