I will ... one day ... get over it ... maybe.

.. nah, it's mostly all good and like anything else ... if you don't like it, don't go there.

This is the only site I visit with any regularity and the contents and the rantings are priceless.

The problem with exhaust notes is this......

People get to hear how good the V8 sound is, because they are SO SLOW going past people, they can experience the sound for Soooooooooooooooo Looooooooooooong.

With the Turbos........... Its more like " Baagh.Wooosh...Bahhhh".

WTF was that????? Ah well, maybe next time i will catch it properly

BUT, I do like the sound of a nice V8 also. My old man had a heavily modded 5.0L windsor. Used to make Peak power over 6,000rpm. Sounded SO Sweet at 6500. Man ya cant beat that sound. I think they are both great dounding! Just different frequencies, lol.

LMAO.
Gents who really cares how much slower a V8 is than the TT. Fact is we all know they are. Theres more to our cars than straight line speed. I mean heck, my old civic craps on my V8 in the 1/4 and on the track but do you see me carrying o like a little girl?
If you wanted a fast drag car why do you drive a HMAS soarer in the first place???

A v8 is faster than a turbo'd Soarer if it gets worked.
And with something as simple as extractors a v8 sounds better than sex!

I have always said that if i had my time over again with buying a Soarer i'd prolly import Phil's black limited. That is hot.

How can you be a Soarer enthusiast by liking a TT and a not a V8 and vice versa ?? Seems a bit silly to me. I bought my first TT cause it had low km's and I got a good deal with it and instantly fell in love but was taken for a ride in my mates Limited and loved that just as much :-) Im planning on buying a V8 this year for a comfortable every day driver and will be keeping my TT a weekend go fast fun car. Best of both worlds :-)

Finally, someone is talking some sense!

My V8 beat a stock TT at a dyno day a couple of years ago. But that doesn't prove anything as my car is modded and heavier. If I wanted to go fast then I would have bought a TT, or dropped a 2JZ-GTE in.

My car is a very comfortable every-day-driver. It goes as fast as I need it to in start-stop traffic.

A lot of HMAS TT's on here are very competitive against other equally powerful lighter Jap imports.

Yes that may be true - after a load of performance mods.

At the end of the day im not going to bag fellow Soarer owners, TT or V8 nor do I believe its wise to childishly compare each against the other. If I wanted a fast car i would have got a Supra or GTR. Each to their own, whatever icing you like on your cake is up to you.

If you own both you would have a lot better idea on comparing the two and from my experience they both have up's and down's and i wouldn't say one is better than the other.

Just put both of 'em in your garage and shut up because this has gone on long enough.

But i do love the constant debate alot of funny sh!t from both side's.

Make peace and have a drink because all TT's and V8's come from the same family.
