Got some sad news to report. At the Test & Tune last night a fellow drag racer was killed. He was driving a blown altered dragster which crashed in the deep end, and he died at the scene. It had just done a 9.15@153MPH so he was moving very quick.

He was practicing for the Nostalgia Drags that was on today. I can't remember if it was a blown altered or a blown slingshot dragster, but either way heaps of power and a light car. He ran a dead straight pass and ran a 9.15@153mph, as far as i could see and then in the deep end it turned left on him and hit the concrete barrier head on. It broke in two and then continued to slide along until the cutout for the return road and from what i can tell (don't quote me as they wouldn't let us down there for obvious reasons) it then hit the wall that separates the gravel runoff area from the grassy field in the braking area.
He was 60 years old so i don't know if he had a heart attack before, during or after the accident, or if he died from injuries sustained in the accident
