Why does this Surpa have a 1J in it in the first place???

I always thought JZA80 Supras came with 2J's only??

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I know JZA70 supras came with 1J's, this is weird...

Apparently it's cheaper and easier to swap from 2JZ-GE - 1JZ GTE rather than 2JZ-GTE.
