Am I allowed to rofl or am I pushing the boundaries of 'sms' speak?.......I'll risk it. ROFL! That looks exactly like the screens I've taken. What a coincidence

I'm not much of a gamer at all, particularly FPS games...the ten hours a month I would spend on the PS2 is basically spent playing either GT4 seriously (I've got a full force-peedback wheel and pedals setup) or Burnout 3 for fun.
However, I did get into a shooter called Black - the graphics impressed me, and the environment seemed a lot more "interactive" than a lot of other games. I do have both MSG: Snake Eater and one of the Splinter Cells, and I've played them a bit, but for some reason they've never really grabbed me. But Black is one game if I'm home alone I'll turn all the lights off, hook up the PS2 to the plasma and surround-sound, and get stuck into it for a couple of hours.
I had Doom3 on my lappy for a while (and was getting a reasonable frame-rate out of it, bout mid-40s from memory, certainly playable) but if I want mindless violence for relief, I much prefer Burnout 3

PS2 on anything other than a CRT? o.O And you still have your eyes?
Standard def plasma? =P
Its an LG 42" with the inbuilt HD tuner.
I dunno, its good enough to look at that a mate and I can sit down with a 6-pack between us and play Burnout 3, first to 50 wins in the "Road Rage" mode - and if you dont know it, Burnout 3 is a pretty frenetically-paced game. Certainly much better playing split-screen on the widescreen than trying to squint and make out whats flying up to you at 300km/h on the 68cm in the other room.
End of the day, its like 10 hours a month.
I just remembered an old-school game, back in the same era as the original Doom, that I used to get into a bit - did anyone else play Syndicate? I spent many hours in my teens playing that and Monkey Island.

Fair enough. =P
Syndicate ftw. Monkey Island1 ,2,3,4 ftw. Sam and Max... i could go on. =P
Callum have you heard of Grim Fandango? It was made by the same people as monkey island and sam and max. I think it came out after monkey island 2 and there were references in monkey island to it?

Absolutely. Unfortunately the humor was a bit advanced for me when it was first released, however i have a copy of the game in front of me for when i get a chance to play it!

Day of the Tenticle - also another Lucasarts SCUMM based puzzle adventure - so many of those were so great - Full Throttle, the Leasuresuite Larry series, the original Manic Mansion that started it off etc.

Grim Fandango, without doubt, is one of the best adventure games...no THE best adventure game ever released...and it's 9 years old! Great humor that isn't tacky, great graphics, great story line, characters, everything!
Hahaha Laurena yeah I know what you mean, don't worry there's nothing wrong with your post.
