Are supras just as reliable mechanicaly as soarers are?
I've heard they had problems with head gaskets.
My brother is looking to buy either a soarer TT of a supra TT. I'v done a search and found several posts on the topic, but usually its about how fast and how they look and all that.
I want to know how they compare mechanically. He's got my noggin ticking now with his idea about a supra.
What about NA supra's. Are they mech sound? They are much cheaper, so does it make sence to buy a NA supra and get a turbo kit? Pros & cons
I have a manual TT. Does a supra TT have a gear box as hardy as the soarer one?

I'd say they are MORE reliable mechanically than the Soarers. Stronger everything basically.

Not Supras, you must be thinking about a Nissan or something.

Ask the JZZ31 owners, a NA Supra mechanically isn't much different from a JZZ31.

Don't convert it, buy a TT, the different in price between a NA / TT would be smaller than buying an NA and spending the extra $$$ on a turbo kit which would make less power than the stock TT anyways.

ive got an N/A and its done 160000 and the only thing ive changed is the rocker cover gasket, it was nothing. mechanically the 2jz and 1jz are really good engines, its power you want, id go by what maurice said
Thanks for the fast replys guys. I love the reliability of my soarer. Its good to hear that its a trait shared by toyota cars in general.
I was reading up about 350Z's and they have a design flaw with the front suspention units that eats away at the front tyres at a stupid rate, and NISSAN did NOTHING about it.
I'll pass on the good news to my brother, and might even have a good look for my self

Be aware that the price difference between a TT Soarer and a TT Supra of the same year model and in decent condition is usually around $10,000.
I'd throw in some extra money just for the 2J though. Even though I like the Soarer shape more, you just can't beat the presence a Supra has on the road. GODDAMN I miss my Supra

i say they are al the same different package, once you start spending money on both and dont look after it, at the end they all start to brake down...in the end they both came out of the same ass hole lol...toyota lol both good cars
