I played it this morning for an hour...its good and I haven't really even started yet with the good stuff. The graphics are a bit average, still good, but it has been ported over from gamecube apparently so it is an older game.
This is a particularly critical article, but it does point out that the Wii does do a lot of things better. While Microsoft has taken the power line, Nintendo has taken the gameplay line. And it's working sales wise.
Keep an eye on Nintendo published titles like the Mario's and Zeldas as per usual however. History has shown these titles always rock out 1000x better than any other company can accomplish. However in saying that there are 3rd party companies who make classics. Remember Rare? MS own them now =P

Ahh asif I miss this topic.
Basically if you don't buy a Wii you are gay. Simple as that. They kick ass. Get Zelda & Eledees and then spend hours perfecting your bowling, tennis & boxing skills in Wii Sports!
Ok, it doesn't have DVD, but then who the hell still uses a console for a DVD player?

Many of the mainstream DVD players are surpassed in quality by consoles. Xbox, 360 and PS3 imo are fantastic DVD players, but the PS3 is a little expensive if all you are going to use it for is watch movies! ;)

No, I don't suck, I'm just not an early adopter. I'm waiting for the format war to end before I invest in a new player and/or console. I use my PS2 with a good quality component video lead, and it gives passable quality. Once HDVD or Blu Ray win out, I'll upgrade. Its still not clear enough who'll win out.

See Matthew is a man of logic rather than impulse =P
Which medium did the porn industry end up following? Thats the one that will win out.
I know alot of developers for the PS3 are cursing Bluray now because of how slow it is. Having space is great, but realistically you probably dont need 80gb for a game =P

Oh how true... LOL
I think the reason the Wii is kick ass in the console wars is that it's affordable AND fun. I don't know many people that own a PS3 or even a 360, they are just too expensive for a games console and a lot of people just aren't willing to part with $1k for it.
Long live the Wii! I got mine on launch night and have been loving it since. I still use my PS2, just not as much and I've hardly ever touched my Xbox since I've had it either.
It all comes down to preference. Just get what you can afford and looks the best to you. Just remember good graphics don't make a good game, but they can help... (^_^;)

Sure was true for Beta vs VHS, but I'm not so sure any more, now that so many people get their porn off the net... hard to say really. I have heard conflicting reports about which way they went - the consensus seems to be HD-DVD, but a lot of people say otherwise.

Amen to that - some of my favorite games are over 15 years old now, and still great fun.

Chrono Trigger!
Most of the games that are my classics are 10-15 years old. Hell it's sad to think that, but they kick ass still today. Some of them have had remakes, which is also cool.
