... the only thing I think of when looking at these rides is "WTF happens if it breaks"..... the answer is something to do with lots of strawberry jam, all over the footpath.. if G had intended you to fly, (s)he would have given you wings... if (s)he had intended you to survive, you would know by now..

I think some people have a twisted idea of "fun". Personally I've always hated roller coasters.
Why not make a roller coaster that is invisible (blends into the surroundings so you can't see it's there)? Now THAT would be a scary ride. You wouldn't have a clue about what it was going to do next.

there was one at disneyland played on that theme - space mountain?? or something like that - was indoors, and in total darkness, with these speakers in the seats near your head, played music in time with the ride...imagine having suspenseful music blaring as you can feel yourself being pulled up the first hill of a rollercoaster...in the dark...now thats awesome!!!
i also love that giant drop ride they have on the goldcoast (and was also at perth royal show)...you sit on a platform with your legs dangling, it raises up like 140m or something, they leave you hanging at the top admiring the view, then randomly you hear a big "PING!!" and you drop straight down, 0-100 in like 1.6 secs...you have no idea when they're going to release you, and then its just a huuuuge rush...awesome.
I had done the Bid shot at the Straosphere Tower in Las Vegas. The Big Shot thrill ride catapults 16 riders from the 921-foot high platform up the Tower's mast to a height of 1,081 feet. Traveling at 45 miles per hour, riders experience 4G's as they reach the very top, and feel negative G's on the way down. Did this at 10pm couple of years ago, as you went up you could not scream and straight up into the night sky. Best rush I have ever had!

OMG!! I"m stateside, I'm heading to Michigan soon.. which is near Ohio !! Please say thats its not anywhere in Australia. I am a thrill seeker.. and that looks way to much fun to not go on
It is in Sandusky OH (not to sure how far Sandusky is from Michigan though)!
I have been following Cedar Point for about 12 months now since I got back from the Gold Coast and did The Giant Drop at Dream World. This ride is at least a year old or so. It is the tallest roller coaster ride in teh world and the fastest. You need to have a look at the other roller coasters on the web site, it is amazing how many they have! One is even completely made out of wood!
Check out the web site, it has the address and phone numbers etc. Damn, I wish I was there!

The only way i can think of getting a similar effect is to have an injection of adrenalin into an artery. Or if it were me i would probably prefer just to do some sight seeing.

!!!!!! Thats like 4 hours from where I'll be I think!! But I bet they wont be open late Oct or in mid December But.. for future reference I'm going on that sucker without a moments hesitation!! No adrenaline for me Just pure extremeness.. minus the kids of course.. they can do the site seeing
