Hi All,
This is way off topic here but i know there are several musicians on the forum and i am looking for advice.
I have a Marshall JTM45 reissue all valve amp that i need professionally modified back to original 1960's blueprint specs.
I would like the PCB to be replaced by a point to point handwired turret board using carbon composition resistors in tonally sensitive positions quality carbon film and Metal oxide where stability and heat resistance is required etc.
I would also like the valves to be replaced by original Mullard ECC83s, the rectifier by a Mullard GZ34 and the output valves by genuine GEC KT66s so on and so forth.
So you can see i have some serious mods in mind and to save time i wont add in all the other stuff. Do any of you guys know of anyone preferably in Adelaide who is skilled enough to do these mods?
Do any of you guys have ideas for other mods to get this amp happening. I am looking to achieve an AC DC Bon Scott 1970's era sound. This amp is very similar to what Angus uses so i know it has the potential to become unblanketed in its sound.

Firstly, sell the Marshall and get a Fender. There are a number of Fenders out there that will probably give you what you want without the hassle of a rebuild.

Man i'd stick with the marshall for sure.
Im using a VS100R myself! had it almost 10 years with no issues... Used to run a Quad on stage for 7 yrs and it still runs awsome nowadays!
Fender make some awsome amps too... My advice, Never sell an amp, just buy another one. They will never be the same, but there is nothing wrong with loving more than one particular sound
Also depends what guitar your playing through it too
