Gday all, Anything in particular to look out for in these cars? Have found one for sale locally and in negotiation to buy it. Any advice appreciated. Cheers

Hi John,
In general these are fantastic cars. Some wear and tear things to look for include the top tank on the radiator (which is made out of plastic!) turning brown indicating that it's perished and could be on the way out. The bushes in the rear suspension can also be a problem due to age. Other than that it's just the things you'd normally look for when buying a car.
The JZX forums have a bunch of great info about these cars so you can always head over there to do a bit more research (if you haven't already):

You'd find that these are great cars to drive. There is minimal to worry about these cars.
What I can say is make sure your stuff in your boot is secured because the down fall I can see is the rear qtr is very fragile. I managed to put 2 dents from the inside exposed to the outside by leaning my subwoofer box to one side to get my spare wheel out.

That's true Duy, my JZX90 had a bunch of dents from the inside of the boot when i bought it.
I suppose it's also worth checking that all windows work. My '90 went through two window regulators in the time i had it and apparently a few guys with '100's are seeing the same thing now. Of course the window regulators are an 'all or nothing' proposition so they'll either be broken or not and you can't tell when they will let go.
