I have noticed in a few past threads that there are a few knowledgable photographers among us, and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with underwater photography. Im interested in getting a setup, just dont really know where to start looking..any links or comments would be great

Underwater, as in marine-life? Or as in, Surf photography?
One word....EXPENSIVE.
I was looking into it with my DSLR...you can pay several thousand dollars for a sealed camera box that will only suit one model camera, and normally only one lens... I quickly gave up that thought...
That was a while ago, though.
I know you can get cheap(ish) (in comparison) sealed boxes for some olympus P&S cameras, in the order of a few hundred bucks, but you gotta have the right camera still.

If it's just for a project here and there, you'd be better off hiring a Rig from Sammy's (Samuleson's Film Service) Look up "John Barry Group" and talk to those guys about your ideas. They may even have some ex-hire equipment for sale.

Yeah I saw surprised how well they turned out too. Those pics look a little dull, seeing as though they were scanned. The actual prints look much better.
