Thought i'd throw this out there in case anyone was interested.
Basically every 6 months about 50 of us get together in a backstreet in the inner west and hold rocket car day.
Build a car out of pretty much anything,strap a 'c' size hobby rocket to it and shoot it off down the road.
Its a good excuse to drink some beer,blow up rockets and generally act like idiots for an afternoon.

Its on march 2nd and i think in alexandria somewhere.

Ha ha you cheeky bastard!The soarer is off to Niall in the morning for whatever surgery she needs.She'll be running sweet in no time.
And i probably didn't mention,the aim of the game is to get your car to go the FURTHEST,not the fastest.
Though if its red or has flames or any cool paint job it will obviously go better.(thats my theory anyway!)

Yeh but we have a bad habit of spending hours making the car look good and minimal time making it run in a straight line.
Its likely to explode as soon as the rocket goes off.

Yeh Dave,as much as i try not to scratch the paint job during testing it ends up being inevitable when you decide to test it after 12 beers.
She'll need a slight touch up but nevermind.It'll more than likely crash on race day anyway!
