| Has the amount of haggling going on here increased to irritating proportions? I am not talking about big items, I am talking about people asking for $10 off small things. Honestly, it reminds me of the Dennis Miller Garage Sale skit, where he priced items at 1 pubic hair each, JUST to see if people would offer half a pubic hair..... |

| It's always about money Lawrence, thats the way the world works. It's a bit pathetic though, haggling for $10 off..... |

| Has the amount of haggling going on here increased to irritating proportions? I think, it's because we're dealing with the "Lower socio economic" Soarer owner, that dosen't earn enough moolah to make an informed "Value for Money" financial decision..........OR they're too DUMB to know when they need to pay good bucks for good stuff! IF, and I say IF, I ever wanna sell stuff on this site.............you'll get ONE chance, and one chance ONLY! MY posted price WILL be my best price, and if ewe don't like it...............well, BOO HOO!, tell someone who gives a F**K! So there, up your's, and the camel you rode in on! To sum up: I agree entirely with Laurence's thread/post. STOP BEING TIGHT ASS TOSSERS! pss: Luv ewe long time.......(boof heads!)

| Amen. Just on a different note to just here... I went out to a private track day at Mallala a couple of months ago to shoot for the supra club. Waaaaaaay to many rich tossers out there, like the guy that bought an ex carrera cup car, came out with his own pit crew, mobile tyre changing machine, bragging that he got his whizz bang ecu for just under $35k and tried to haggle me down to $40/photo after I had just told that they were $50ea!!! |

LOL! You'll probably find a lot of people end up rich because they had been stingy all their life with all their purchases. I have a family friend who's like that. Lives in a $3M house, yet will haggle for everything to the very dollar. Usually the poor ones are the ones who pay top dollar for everything haha |

| I sold 2 RAM sticks from my old computer on ebay for a bargain $9.90 for 256mb RAM. The guy was complaining about spending another $5 in postage saying he would rather pick them up (and spend $10 in fuel in the process) I sold my Soarer for less than i wanted and thought of the cleche, a bird in the hand... so i accepted. Do the deal, move on with life. For small stuff I agree that haggling is warranted in shops and businesses but when someone is selling stuff from their own personal belongings, take it or leave it. |

| Seem to have hit a nerve here! I have no problem with people haggling with corporations over large amounts - but when we are talking about INDIVIDUALS/smaller vendors then it's just insulting. When I sell stuff I JUST want to get some of my money back, I am NOT planning to retire on the proceeds, so to ask for $10 off .... I think we all need to remember that this is a forum for mutual benefit, and the membership thereof benefits individuals MUCH more than the odd small saving you might make - so DON'T PISS OF THE CONTRIBUTORS SUCH AS NEIL G BY OFFERING LESS |

| HAHA, I think I triggered this from Lawrence. Sorry man, I felt like a dog as well afterwards, I just shouldnt have bothered. Its just in my woggy bloody to haggle for every dollar. Its like a disease and I cant stop, lol. I try to haggle for everything, no matter how cheap, no matter who its from. I dont even need taillights...but they were dirt cheap, and I thought, oh well, if I can get them for even a bit cheaper...BARGAIN! LOL, sorry Lawrence......so you'll take $60 then? HAHA |

They didn't get all that money from spending it all... my old man is a rich bugger, still hassles you over that $20 you borrowed if you don't reimburse it within a week. |

| I guess people try cause if you can save 10 bux here and 10 bux there.. It all adds up at the end of the day. Not all of us are rich money loaded people. SOme people enjoy their cars and hobbies on a limited budget, but there are alot of people always willing to help out in most situations. Also, with sales( specially 2nd hand or used), Some things are only worth what someones willing to pay, Not what the seller thinks it "should be worth"... Arguments for both sides i guess. |

| All well put guys Yer i get sick and tired of some guys wanting some thing for nothing as do all traders in the automotive industry. Some times i just about need to wire the customers up to the jumper cables just to get there heart going again. Thay just don't realise what parts cost and the labour to fit them in. Like selling a 2nd hand part for 1/3rd the new price and then get called a rip off.(YER RIGHT) I some times take the attitude of . I have it,You want it, That is the price,No haggling. Prick arn't I.hahahahahhahaha |
