I need to get some custom metal parts made up (only 2 plates)... the CAD file is all ready to go, the only places that I've found will only do parts (as a minimum) of $450. Does anyone have any contacts? I'm in Sydney.

Lightning laser in Braeside did some stuff for me a while back. $120 to cut some 1uz exhaust flanges from the cad drawing on Lextreme. Done in a week and nicely done at that.

I think they will do any material, mine was just a steel grade for high temps.
They also did some turbo flanges for me, reasonable prices on those too, That was $240 to measure from a turbo, draw it in cad then cut, both inlet and exhaust and cut 4 of each, 10mm thick. It was a while ago, probably 18 months now. They are less than 5 mins from my place, to give you an idea.
When its convenient, or i can pick up afterhours if that suits, but you may be down this way for the above.

hey i got 8 head flanges done a little while back for a charade, and they were on $12 a flange. they cut out with a water jet, does a really clean job. i dont have a number but if you look up oberon engeneering, and give them a call. really good people to deal with, plus you dont get ripped of like in the city hehe
