No damn petrol station in the Eastern 'burbs (Sydney) has good petrol! Only 91RON/E10 unleaded, diesel and LPG... what the?! Where the hell is the good stuff? The only place I could find with some form of 98RON was at a Caltex, and it's pretty lacking as well. Driving through the inner west and all of the stations seem to be out of the good stuff too (one petrol station had NO bowsers with any type of fuel available lol)

Could it be that it is too expensive for them to even buy it??
I've discovered that too in Wollongong, Shell doesn't have 98 at the ones I've tried but Caltex seems to still sell their 96 and 98. Can't say I've tried BP lately.
Fuel companies are a bunch of wankers aren't they. First they have to increase fuel prices. Now they are making it difficult to buy it. I'm scared to think what next!!!!

There is a shutdown at Shell's refinery in Sydney. Shell and BP premium fuels appear to be affected but you can buy Caltex and Mobil premiums without a problem. Shell are bringing in a tanker next week to supply the market while the refinery is fixed. Presumably BP will obtain supply from the same tanker since they appear to get their fuel from Shell.
While the Shell stations here are empty, the BP ones have plenty of fuel. BP using Shell fuel is accurate in Victoria, but I'm not sure about it being valid in NSW. Well, based on the fuel levels here in Wollonong, I would place much doubt in that factoid.
No 98RON at the Airport, Kingsford nor Punchbowl stations (BP), no 98RON at Maroubra and Moore Park and no petrol at all at the twin servos at Enfield lol.
I think I saw one Shell station with a new batch... just when the prices skyrocketed to 145c/L

BP's two refineries are in WA and Qld. Shell have one in Geelong and Caltex one at Kurnell. Kurnell supplies BP, Mobil and Shell from what I read on the web about that refinery. BP in Canberra certainly has a supply problem and other posts suggest erratic supply for BP in Sydney. I had no problem filling up at Mobil or Caltex though, here or Sydney, so if they are supplied out of Kurnell then it does not sound like the same problem as Shell and BP have. No clear answer except they have no bloody fuel of the right type right now.
Morgan, I hope you are tuned for V-P R to make good use of it.
