You are getting zapped by your rabbit ears because they have ELECRICITY! Seriously, I'd get it checked out, sounds like you have a short circuit in there somewhere.

Buy a digital set top box and you will not have to worry about the ears

Is it just a tingling? I've had a few tv/vcr units do it, never found out why, just avoided touching them ;) Depends how old it is most stuff made in the last 10-15 years i've seen have been double insulated (no earth pin) so it could be a slight problem with the AC isolation in the telly.

Firstly do you know if it really is the tv or the power point? It sounds like there is a fault on the earth. All metal on any electrical equipment are meant to have an earth on it. Maybe the cable is worn out, or no earth so current would pass through your body to get to earth. Or a leak on the neutral link. Could be a number of problems. Only way to find out is really to test power point first, check tv on other power points, then if all is good then maybe tv circuit has a open circuit to earth. If you just moved in then more than likely it is the wiring in the house, a problem with the earth. WARNING. If your planning to open the tv, be warned the capacitors in there can hold 1000s of volts for a long time.

One question that should be asked. Does it only shock you initially as if a charge has built up and then discharges or is it a continual shocking? touch several times without moving around does it continue to shock you or only the single discharge?

Scott Gates appears to be right, I'm not 100% on the internal workings of your specific bunny ears but it appears the earth wire on the inside has let go and now you have had a fault occur, from memory bunny ears have a transformer and are only 12v or something, can't remember so the shock isn't life threatening. If you want, open it up, have a look for any loose wires (They wont necessarily be green (earth)) they could be any colour, if you can't find anything, just buy a new one lol, the cost of a repair job, blow it.
