I know its not a soarer thats why im putting this question in the off topic section. But I always seem to get such good advice on this site and could not help myself.
Just wondering if someone can shed some light on why my '88 MK 1 Suzuki 1.3 DOHC has the spark plugs swimming in oil and coolant?
I took the rocker cover off (gasket was fine)and cleaned it all up, went for a short spin and back to the same, more coolant than oil this time but still both.
anyone got any ideas what it is? Could it be the head gasket?

Oil and Coolant swimming around in there rules out the possibility it is just a rocker cover gasket, most likely head gasket as well.
If you ever remove your rocker cover gasket, NEVER re-use it, buy a freaking new one.
A cracked block wouldnt result in coolant and oil in your spark plugs, so rule that out. A head gasket is the most likely option, though if both oil and coolant are getting into your spark plugs, do you have any oil in your water or vice versa?
If not it's possible you have a leaking head gasket around a water gallery, which is seeping water out, and your rocker cover gasket is most likely the source of oil.
Re-using a gasket is just stupid, gaskets can appear fine, and look exactly the same as a brand new one, but if they go hard, which they do, they look fine but are useless, get a nice new soft gasket, use sealastic around any half moons on the gasket, and then see how you go.

I have since cleaned it all out and now only have coolant seeping through, even after chanhing the welsh plugs, its not alot but builds up after a few days, no water in the oil, and it still runs really well. had it a the mechanic today and they're not sure either, without really getting inbto it. guess i'll just see how it goes.....
