you will notice that alot of the goods from overseas get marked as 'gift', this is an attempt to mask the contents as a non-purchase item (especially items from asia)

I doubt you will have to pay DUTY and GST for a couple of cd's.
Always find out in advance whenever buying from overseas what the shipping terms are:
DDP means the shipper has to pay for any Duties Taxes and extra misc charges
DDU means that the receiver has to pay.

This will be only applicable if the shipper has not paid for Door to Door delivery, and also come back to the DDU DDP terms, if the terms are DDU then you may have to pay to have it released from the warf (If applicable and worst case scenario)
From what you have said that its just CD's or DVD's it should be really straight forward, your order it and two weeks later it will be in the mail
