I can't see why you can't use LPG on a TT
If you use the Injected Gas (see Neil about a system)
Have a good think about it guys:
Be it a V8 or TT what do we try to get into the engine?????????????????

COLD AIR

what will LPG do to your skin ?????????
freeze it off ya bones.....

We run intercoolers and other mods on the TT's for colder air supplied to the engine
V8's we do cold air intakes.....
so with LPG it will help in that situation and produce more BANG for your buck
I recon its a great idea for both engines
I have heard up here Queensland that people that have done LPG conversions on the V8 are over the moon about the price savings and the extra power it produces
Also with the government helping out to pay for it ............WHY NOT..........

With liquid injection for gas these days its becoming more attractive to use gas for more efficient power.

ie, You can run a XR-6 Turbo on gas for the same/less that it costs to run a small car like a Corolla.

John I its quite funny you mention your VT. I have been looking at VT wagon's on gas for my work (DJ) car.

Are they any good? Reliable? $35 = 300km is quite good I believe compared to my vvti T soarer and similar to a hyundai excel I had that was $50 = 500km roughly.

As anything goes, if you look after it, it'll look after you. Our was well maintained prior to us buying it. We've had it for a few months now with absolutely no problems. Parts can be bought from anywhere and it is a very nice car to drive. All depends on what you find out there I suppose.

Plus LPG has an octane equivalent of over 100. Colder, higher octane, more boost :-)

Some say low 100s, some say over 110. Whatever it is, it's cold and it can take a lot more spark advance and boost.

Just only boost injected. From what I've heard, mixer systems + blowers have ended in more than one explosion.

It is in "Off-Topic" remember?

Just threw in my 2c worth, to give people an idea of how it doesn't really work out much cheaper than petrol.

Booked in at AG Autogas November. $4.5k for direct injection. Calculator tells me it'll be paid off in 8 months, then I start winning $65 per week (@ current prices). I lose my spare wheel (replaced with a magic fix-er-up bottle). Then I can drive my Soarer again!
Ali (you're a champ!) got a 4% rwkw gain on his DI V8, so I expect some commensurate benefit on the VVTI (mine's 185 at present).
I'll keep youse posted.
