| I just have a quick question as I cant be reading all the fine print in the warranty papers but yeah, this V8 soarer I have purchased still has some warranty left on it. I am the second owner since imported and the guy I purchased it off was the original warranty holder. What I want to know is being the second owner am I still able to claim on this warranty if something goes wrong with the car or is it just applicable to the original owner ???? |

| That would depend on the fine print. |

| Hold it up to the screen for a while, and when I get time I will try to read it for you. Turn the page about every 15 minutes.

| The first one was serious. You are the one in possesion of the contract, how do you expect us to answer if it's transferable or not if we can't read it? It's not a factory warranty, so the answer could vary depending on who is supplying the warranty. |

| I'll go and get the warranty book in a little while and have a look Dave, I can tell you that the car was purchased from Down Under Auto if that helps you in anyway ?? |

| I the warranty is in given in a blue and white book, it's as useless as standing on your left leg while scratching your right ear with you 4th finger from the left hand. Also, Dave is correct, unless the warranty is 'transferable', it only applies to the car and the person who was issued the warranty. I had one of these fantastic warranties with a previous car, hit a pothole after some rain, and it pushed the CV shafted into the gearbox, dropping the sir-clip, and causing the shaft to leak oil afterwards. The warranty wouldn't cover anything from this natural driving condition because the damage was impact damage, so I ended up forking out from the issue myself. The one thing it did give me, whoever, was access to a mechanic whom I still use, and who is one of the best I have ever used. B. |

The last time I checked the rules of this site dribbling is allowed...as well as rants and personal opinions. |

| Ben if it is for a used car, normally the answer is no, you cannot use it. It is only good for the person who actually purchases the car. They normally also have to have it serviced at the required times, at certain approved service centers. They are normally not worth the paper they are written on. |

| I figured as much... bit like the warranty for my LCD TV, forked out the extra $400 to extend the warranty to 7 years and not long ago the lamp in the TV went. Tried to claim it through the warranty and they said "Sorry, the warranty doesn't cover that particular part" daylight robbery. |

My point exactly. It really doesn't matter what the warranty states it covers, the dealers will always find something that they won't cover. |
