I've just read an article in the news about fake doctors certificates you can order online for $40. They claim they're for "novelty use only" ... yeah right!!
Anyway, it got me thinking, what's your best tactic or excuse for calling in sick? My personal favourite is calling the boss and saying "I'd like to come to work today, but the voices in my head have told me to stay home and clean my guns" .... always good for at least a couple of days off ;) |

Gastro is always a good excuse. When the boss asks, can you get a doc certificate? I say, I'd rather not leave the house. I'm too scared I might not make it to a toilet in time.  |

You only need a docs certificate if your off for more than 1 day, so just take a •••• load of 1 day holidays throughout the year! But if I do need an excuse, someone dying is always the best. But you've got to make sure it's an obscure Aunt or long lost 2nd cousin, that your boss is never going to meet anyway. |

When employers have to choose who they give the flick when times are tough or they need to cut back I guess you'll give them easy pickings. hahahaha |

Eventually the old guy got his act together to meet me there, it was easy just power up and reprogram while he snooped haha (shakes head)

You might have to begin getting sick for your last few weeks. With most work places, you don't get paid out for sick leave days built-up. |

For extended periods of sick leave usage, I have heard you can complain of a muscular injury in the back. Good for a week or so.
I've only ever had one job where I got sick leave. I stayed there 3 months and accrued one full day of sick leave and took it on the last day. |

Food poisoning works a treat, especially if you ring up and say, "oh mate I've been awake all night... got a bad case of the squirts and I've been..."
Usually that's where the boss goes "look! No more! I don't wanna know about it! Seeya tomorrow!" |

If I wake in a "CBF" mood, I just ring and say I'm sick..........I just leave the "Of work" part out of the message 
Our company gives ya 10 days per annum official sook leave, but will pay you more if supported by a quack's certificate or whatever. |

If you are genuinely sick you dont need to go to the GP. Instead a visit to your pharmacist and $20 will get you a Sick Note. |
