Hey everyone, I'm fairly new here. Always loved Soarers, but just got my license recently so only started looking seriously at getting one a week ago. By the way, this is a great forum, a tonne of useful info and helpful members.
Anyway, I thought some of you might want to check out my little music group. It's just me and one of my mates, I produce the beats/music and then he writes and records songs. You can check us out at www.myspace.com/cosign3 We do mostly hip hop and r&b songs. Would really love to be a music producer!! But very unlikely, so I'm going to uni next year, doing business.
Anyway I'm gunna stop rambling now.
Oh and if you end up listening to the songs, I'm happy to hear any compliments or criticism! And fyi we're getting rid of the annoying electronic voice effect soon!

hey man just looked at some of your songs. they're not bad. i don't like the elec voice. good call to get rid of it. to be honest i think the vocals are too slow for the beats. there are a few places where the words should be shortened to have more of a rolling effect, especially for the style you are doing, if you use a shallow breath the elec voice will sound alot better. but try double time it in places to break it up. sounds a lot less monotone. but it sounds good, better than most people who claim to record songs. are you using a synthesizer or computer? if comp which program, i have reason 3 but i haven't made anything for a while now. my cousin has a akai mpc 1000, they're fun.
anyway just my 2c oh if you get your beast in time come to our cruise.

Thanks for the advice david. We're just using my computer to make the songs at the moment, I use FL studio to make the beats and Adobe Audition to record my friend. I'm hoping to make an upgrade from those programs soon though, hopefully to Cubase or Protools.
And I dont think I'd have a soarer by the next cruise (I think it's on the 15th?) But someone offered me a seat as a passenger so hopefully i'll be there anyway

Haha, me and Ludacris go wayyy back
And yeah, I actually have been doing alot of EDM lately (just didnt realise it was called that, lol). We don't record any tracks over my dance beats though, I do it just for fun. I never really liked dance music, but ever since i got into producing, it's grown on me.
