Hi guys,

This is something i did over my 10 day break over xmas/new years holiday.

I've always been really into arcade games and for the past few years i've been wanting to make a MAME arcade machine.

I do have one dilema though. I'm engaged. My woman doesn't want a daggy retro 70's/80's tabletop machine nor a standup arcade cabinet around the house.

So instead this is what i've built (so far). Here is my arcade coffee table. Joysticks are on rollers which come out of the table out of a panel that swings open from a magnetic catch.

Powered via a PC i got from work and some freebie LCD monitors.

Currently i have got arcade, nes, snes, n64, sms, mega drive, gameboy, gameboy advance, gamegear, neogeo and a crapload of other games i don't remember running on the system.

Added a wifi dongle to give it access to my internal network to stream music and video to it. added Karaoke *.kar files to it too.

Added a Bluetooth dongle to it to allow photos to display on the coffee table if you want to show people your photos.

Still have to paint the bezels of the screens and tint the glass but after that i'm pretty much done:-)

Mate, that is absolutely legendary. If at any stage you need to get rid of it, please drop me a line.
Just sensational. You legend.
I had a tabletop for our coffee table when I was sharing house many moons ago.. It had moon alien, pegasus, pacman & DigDug (i think). Lotsa fun.

Haha thanks for the input guys. Yeah i am a bit geeky. I build alot of stuff for work so i thought this would be fun:-)

Chris hows the MVS cabinet working out for you? I like what you've done to the button layout. Does it feel a bit difficult for street fighter considering LK is so far away?

Yeah it's really good and stable. Good airflow etc.
And i've never notice any hassle while playing SF.
Only game i do have a problem with is defender cos the button layout is totally wrong :-(
Maybe i should do an interchangeable console..

it has metroid games for nes, snes, gb, gbc, gba & n64:-)

i've added some playstation style joypads to the system and i'm adding a dance dance revolution stage to it shortly.

I've got a video of it in action. Check it out.

Very cool. Although I'm gonna catch you out here, there we're no Metroid games for N64!
Good job on the table, looks like loads of fun.
