Im sorry mate, but I dont find attacking other members car sense or simple spelling misdemeanours funny, in fact, I think its quite stupid and immature.
If you want to inject some humour into this site, then start a jokes thread, tell a funny story, share an embarrasing moment but •••• me, starting a thread because someone said "rear tail lights" or they spelt brakes "breaks" tells me that you must be that sad to start a thread about it.

Next issue of New Scientist I will have to avoid reading the "Feedback" section on the second-last page. It spends much of its time attacking other people's errors in expression or science. A pity I will miss it because it is damn funny. Similarly, I recall when I used to read Choice magazine that it devoted a page to absurd claims and humorous errors in product labelling and instructions. The purpose in each case is to educate as well as to provide a moment's humour.
Perhaps it is not Mike, or if you prefer not only Mike, who needs to relax their expectations, grow up, harden up or shut up as the case may be. I think it just as precious to claim that every expression or action should be respected equally, as opposed to respecting every person. |

Satirical, yes, and ironic too. Grammatically, it somewhat defiles the Queen's English language, although I don't think the Queen takes ownership of it to such a degree.
