I recently bought an FM transmitter that runs on AAA batteries from Strathfield car radios for I think $50. This transmitter plugged into any headphone jack from any audio source. however I was dissapointed with it as interference was received driving under power lines, and trying to find a frequency to tune it where it would not find any other radio stations is difficult in Sydney.

Haha, I must've signed up before all those fraudsters came on the scene. I'm using a Yahoo account... Oh, and you dont need to use a credit card to pay if they are in Australia, just do direct deposit!

Luke, I bought one of these http://christmasgifts.tesora.com.au/category.asp?Category=10425 Works great, nice and clear. It has numerous channels to choose from so should work in all locations. I drove across Aussie with it. My only complaint is it goes back to the start every time you shut the power off, but you can just FF to what ever song you were up to. You use a computer USB memory stick with them or you can also plug in your own CD player of whatever. It has a input the same size as a headphone plug.

That's why I got one. I got tired of the stock CD player - always jumping / skipping and generally ticking me off and I have tried the fixes. I will replace the stock unit one day but my priorities are elsewhere at present. Another benefit of this unit is you can take it into anyones' car so you don't have to listen to their crap music - lol!
