| I'd like to hear all your thoughts on this specific car in the following pictures - Please be 100% open and honest. Here's a quick description of it..... It's a Ford 1978 Falcon XC in Yellow. Fitted with a 4.1 Inline Six, running a 3 speed manual column shift, has headers and a few other things done. Only done 102,000km's that check out, drives perfectly. Amazing low millage, has been sitting around for years in storage during a couple of stages in its life. Body is in very straight condition, no rust and no previous crash repairs. Interior is in top order, has front Fairmont seats fitted rather than a bench seat Wheels are 14" x 8" Tridents. Here are the pictures, sorry they aren't the best but tell me what you think!

| Thanks guys, My mate just bought it Today, sure is an excellent base for a 351 swap, picking it up Monday afternoon. Gets along okay enough with the 250 Six but ehh, not really anything sporty or quick for obvious reasons, needs the V8 in these for sure, the sound difference is quite a factor too! That will be project for it in the new year. Should make for a great machine, very cheap too.

| It's just a clone. 350/350. Waiting on some pics of the interior before I commit. If it has a stout diff in it I may add a mini blower. If not I'll just give it a smaller separation cam for a nice choppy idle, maybe change to the SS hood, lip spoiler and possibly some speed stripes. Always liked the Novas, haven't had one yet. |

| Thanks guys. It's actually my friends car. Seems to go very well. Main issue with it is the column shifter linkages need a bit of attention. Easy enough though. |

| I hate those column shifters Mike. So finnicky. Unfortunately I like having em on a car too! Got some more pics of the Nova and I like it! Gonna get my uncle to go inspect and if everything goes right I could have it by late March. |

| Yeah Miles, they are shocker when they don't work right, this ones definitely finnicky, for example if you don't glide it nicely from 1st to 2nd it wont go so you have to stop, and put it back into first and then try again. We came to the conclusion its the linkages that need to be adjusted and the mechanisms lubricated, which we will fiddle with in the new year, the cars parked up for now while the owner is away. They are kinda neat though, something different. But that will go later next year when my mate sources a 302/351 with a 4/5 speed floor shift manual box. |

| Oh yes, I know that I thought you were more into the coupe style American vehicles. I quite like the Silverado's myself, doubt you could find a better example than that one currently on TM which you speak of! |

| Factory 6 cyl car. Now has 350, TH350, decent cam, SS clone bits and sway bars. Has factory AC ready to go in it but not fitted. Interior is all new and matches the colour. Tilt column and aftermarket dash and gauges. Paint job is a DIY and needs to be blocked and shot again. Should have it by Easter. |

Traditionally I have been Mike. But the cost of purchasing a clean(ish!) 60's 70's Camaro / Firebird etc is more than I can afford for a car of the quality I desire. Whereas Silverado's and High Sierra's can be had for relatively little money. I very nearly bought an 86 C4 Corvette before the Merc, but although very clean & original, it was a manual trans car which is not what I wanted in a daily driver. Then I bought the Merc.........Go figure! Miles: Good score on the Nova |

| Understandable, a manual car of that type would a to much of a headache at times, although fantastic, far better suited being a weekend car. The SLK you bought as a daily driver would be quite perfect I would imagine, especially on the odd occasion after work you would want the hard top down to cool you hair in the breeze!

| Probably be selling the Firebird in a while Don... it might not be what you'd consider an every day car though. Not very original either. |
