Was having a beer and a yarn with the Father Inlaw tonight and started having a laugh about that Antique Roadshow on TV. The old bugger turns to me and goes, 'I think I've got the first Playboy with Marilyn Monroe on the cover'. After picking my beer off the floor we went on the hunt in his storage room, the excitement of 50 year old porn flowing through my blood I picked up a magazine from the bottom of the pile, mint condition, and bugger me it was Edition 1 of Wheels!. In hindsight should of taken a photo but back in '53 it was a pretty high quality gloss magazine and this one is pristine. Now I've got a-wonderin' what that bad boy is worth....... PS - It wasnt the first issue of Playboy but Housewives? Still pretty cool - but awkward with the old F in L grinning back at me like a Biggest Loser contestant going through a Maccas drivethrough.
