Hahahaha. I think it's hilarious how all the tools are saying oh it's a 2JZ swap. F***ING MORONS! It's the V8...
and then there is this comment - The NSX didn't get owned, officially. Because the weak ass lexus has a v8 and its twin turbo. the nsx is a v6. twin turbo the nsx, that will rape the lexus.
lol At this tool (the weak ass lexus??? He then goes on to say V8 tt - weak? This guy fails at life!)
Hahahahahahaha. Epic loss of brains to that moron...

You guys need to take some reality pills.
The way that car is accelerating i highly doubt its a stock 1uz setup. At least forced induction (twin turbo like the description says) or some other sort of decent performance work.
From a quick google, i can see that the NSX puts out two different power figures depending on it's engine revision; 270bhp or 290bhp.. both figures are higher than the highest stock 1uz figure before vvti was brought in of 260hp.
Think about the weight figures as well; 1,340kg has the NSX compared the SC's 1,540kg to 1,730kg (depending on options/fluids i assume). Thats a difference of between 200kg and 400kg's!
Add to the picture that the NSX is more likely a manual than the SC and you have yourself a clearly inaccurate comparison.
At the end of the day an NSX was designed to be a mid-engined Supercar class design, the SC/Soarer was aimed at the luxury coupe class.

Looks pretty good, apparently handles extremely well. But 7 sec 0-100 keeps it well out of supercar status. 14 sec 1/4 puts it in WRX territory....over priced Accord -2 doors

Aaron, unnecessary harsh words and incorrect numbers toward the NSX. My good mate owns one and all i can say is, don't criticise it if you haven't experienced being in one.
Its powered by a C32A 3.2l NATURALLY ASPIRATED V6 pumping 320ps Thats 100HP/litre in daily driver OEM tune.
Where does the NA 2J or 1UZ hold up against those figures? not to mention one of the best handling cars in the world.

the 6 speed version is 290 bhp STOCK, which is the best one you can get. your mates is pushing 315 bhp.. wow.. thats slower than a supra.... when they were brand new the asking price was almost 200k in Australia.... it didnt sell well as you would expect.
Im not knocking your mates car. they turn heads real quick. but they ARE known as an underpowered over priced super car.
sure buy, throw 20k at it, and you got a 600kw TT monster! but whos gonna do that.

Garry, actually many people have already twin turbod the NSX. All running over 400HP @ wheels.
The first Type R by Honda was in the early 1990's and you guessed it, it was a TT NSX. Not surprisingly it pumped out over 400PS the R&D crew in Japan scrapped the project as the car kept losing traction. This set a precident for Honda to use the 'weight reduction' method and NA refinement for future Type R projects.
Arguing over dyno figures has absolutely NOTHING to do with faster or slower - as you mentioned. The gearbox in the NSX is far superior to the Supra, not to mention different ratios. Everyone knows turbos are easy to tune for more HP, NA is harder - but more reliable.
Sure they are VERY expensive and i agree, overpriced, but it is still a machine worth respect.

Why is there so much hate towards the NSX? Dont bring price in to it because clearly its out of most people's buying range.
Its a much better performance car than something like a Porsche Boxter from the same era. When you compare prices its easy to pick the more "economic" buy...
