I have pretty much quit posting my style of humour as too many people were apparently being offended by it.
I used the ads section to glean things I thought were humorous, i.e. spelling errors or things which could be taken in other ways. I am always careful not to direct my humour to an individual, however I acknowledge some were easily traced to the poster.
For this, I was personally attacked and asked, no, told to get a life and to stop putting people down. Even though to do that was never my intention, I thought it best to let it go.
Now I'm reading another thread which seems to have the same problems with those who have differing ideas on what constitutes humour. There will always be differences in our opinions, but to crucify an individual who differs from you is, in my opinion, wrong.
So why don't you get a f*****g life and leave the rest of us alone to wallow in our happiness.

I have become more circumspect lately with what I post, as some of the newer members seem to be a bit thin skinned when it comes down to it and don't get my sense of humor...........tough crap!

Way I see it- the forum did not join the new member, the new member joined the forum. Whilst some of the posts are utter rubbish, and thinly disguised personal attacks, I think generally the tone is OK.

On the other hand sometimes peoples stupidity(or more accurately- stupid post) needs to be punished with an acid reply etc.

hehehe. but i seem to be doing ok on this one.
it's probably got to do with the fact that this is an enthusiast forum. and almost everyone here is some sort of enthusiast wanting to help.. so in that way it's good. But i do wish the moderators would upgrade to one of those PHPBB type boards.
they are so much nicer looking.

I have to disagree with you on that one - I just find other forums to be too cluttered, and the posts seem to almost get lost in the background. I much prefer SC - it's so much easier to read comfortably.

come on mike.'flaming' is a trend on online forums. say what you think and you will work out where your personality and outlook sits with the community. you cant change others unfortunately. you may pick up some ideas that will modify what you say and believe and also work out who it may not be worthwhile communicating with. i certainly say a lot of •••••••••• mostly among people i know. I didnt find your thread overly funny but there was some good bits. dont be a shrinking violet over it. with over 1000 posts im sure you have contributed a wealth of ideas and help whether or not they are always appreciated by all.
