I played this game for a while called Test Drive:Unlimited on the PC
They actually modeled the entire island for the game, and you can drive around on it in exotic sports cars. So from the game I gathered that Id actually like to go to Hawaii and drive a REAL exotic sports car around the island coz its really awesome. They have tonnes of really awesome roads.

Was there a few years ago with the family, pretty cool place. My old man and I actually hired a red corvette and cruised around the whole of the main island for a day, great fun.
Great surf, if you're into that, but the beaches in general are sh*t, compared to our world class beaches that is. The sand is coarse, rocky and looks like bricky's sand. But its a really nice place to spend some time chilling out and just enjoying yourself, if you don't mind all the fat, annoying yanks that are there too! Shoppings good too, you can get a lot of good stuff cheaper than over here, and they have the range too.

Thanks for the reply!
My potential proposal destination...
Im not a surfer but i do enjoy the simple things like relaxation eg chilling out on the beech, resort activities. The beach your describing sounds horrible
What else did you do there Keenan? I might hop over to las vegas while in around there.

I spent a week in Hawaii back in the 90's, September I think. Thoroughly enjoyed it, did some of the tourist stuff eg Pearl Harbour etc, otherwise mostly walked.
Weather was around 30 degrees and it was humid, don't bother with any formal clothes.
A lot of older big bottom US tourists and shuffling younger Japanese visitors.
Expensive, but relaxing, and some bargains to be had at the local markets, though possibly all Chinese replica junk by now.
I would go again, but expect a lot has changed since then.

Well I've been over to the states a few times, the last time I was there, when I did Hawaii, we also went to LA, NY and went skiing in Big Sky in Montana. Drove from Denver in Colorado through Wyoming into Montana. Was bloody awesome scenery and great skiing. Would recommend NY for at least a few days, amazing place.

You should get some cheap deals now because Hawaiian Airlines are now flying from Australia to the States bia Hawaii. I am flying out in May with Hawaiian Airlines direct to Las Vegas - don't have to into LA at all.
