Apparently a couple of merely abusive terms were posted, having no bearing on the topic, no argument and no humour. I did not see them but I agree with taking such things down. It appears not to have been my queries which caused the primary offence. This does not answer my last question of course but I will leave that to lie as well. |

Amazing how people can say anything they like about anything , except religion .... If said person doesnt like what they read, i suggest they dont read the thread again ? I mean thats what was said about the numerous people that complained on the Camel Toe thread ?

I received an email from the person who complained (thankyou to that person for the email and I will not reveal who it was)... he was upset by:
"The two posts I didn't think were helpful were the description of all religious people as a. faggots, and b. wankers. I considered that these were meant to cause offence to other SC members with religious beliefs."
Well, if I'm not wrong, the word faggots (and possibly wankers) was used by Aaron, who IS a religious person and was calling the non-religious people that. I will let the irony speak for itself. |

A pity I missed them then although as I said in private (to the same source as Miles) I do not condone simple personal abuse. Ideas are fair game, beliefs to the extent they claim to represent ideas rather than personal taste, but not people as individuals. |

All I said was, "One word, or one picture only, faggots" in reference to the OT being, "I have One word for all you religious people out there". I didnt call anyone a wanker. So thats 2 strikes.
I dont know where Miles, or anyone else for that matter, gets the idea that the above is directed at Religious or Atheists only?
"One word, or one picture only, faggots" its a clear reference, even GUIDANCE if you like, to please use just one word per post. Whether you are religious, atheist, inbetween, fallen off, OR a God

I figured it was directed at the non religious as the last few non religious comments had broken the one word theme, and because of your taste for having a go at the non religious.. Definitely didn't think it was directed at the religious.
Anyway as I said I didn't take any offence. I find it hard to really pay attention to much that people think, when they also believe in imaginary friends. Kinda figure anything that comes outta their mouths has been tarred with the stupid brush. Have a nice day. |
