Wow, the rain on the roof of my office this morning is more interesting than that mindless audio assault. Honestly, I probably write a piece of software that wrote more imaginative music than that. |

| When I was a kid my parents were amazed at how "unmusical" metal was to them. I guess they grew up with rock and blues.. I gotta admit the older stuff is far more musically advanced than metal. Now we feel the same way about this speedcore stuff. It has almost no true musical value. By the time Matt has kids, he will be amazed the same way at their music. I bet it is just one single long, loud note. Or a 4 minute scream. |

| Isn't speedcore just gabba? Gabba scene has been ruined by those bunch of poofters known as 'lads'. |

Or possibly giving my programming skills too much credit. Still I'm pretty sure it would be relatively easy to come up with an algorithm that, given sufficient samples could churn out this kind of stuff 24/7. Bet someone has already done it. |

Or it could pendulum totally the opposite way and return to melodies and harmonies. History and fashion always come back round in the end. |

Speedcore is very similiar to gabber. Only major difference is its alot faster. All the nasty distorted kicks etc are all there. And thankfully in perth we dont have 'lads' |

| I would take mylie Cyrus (Hannah Montana) over that "noise" any day... Just to clarify so far in this thread I've been called "just some Kid" and "a true 90 year old".I am 22, engaged and work full time, I do not do drugs and the only people who like "speedcore" are those on speed. *for the record nor am I religeous (just in case you were wondering.) However I did go to Hunter school of the performing arts and got 100% for HSC music. My brother and sister both have music degrees. So I do have some authority on music. and music speecore/thrash ain't... |

You missed my point. You can't judge a whole group because of what a few choose to do. How many people have been killed due to alcohol induced violence? Go into town on a weeknight, notice the cop presence? Notice the glassings, the fights, the violence? Go to a rave, you'll be lucky to see one fight ALL night. Go to a doof and you'll never, ever see a fight. |

Very true, but you can assess risk, or look for an emerging problem.

| Jesus H Christ. The fatties are at it again. So I read in the paper today that Ricki Lee has decided that since Jennifer Hawkins did a no-airbrush shoot, she will too. Leading with the headline "This is what a real women looks like". Quotes include "I'm the same size as the average Australian woman - 14". Also "weighing in" is Bianca Dye with quotes like "I love my body because it's what I've been given". If you look at Bianca Dye's photo, she has an 8 pack of fat rolls down her torso. Noone is given that, she has Big Mac'd her way to it. Dye goes on further to moo: "She was born beautiful. She has not had to go through any stress to look like that". Are you fkng smoking crack you tool? She literally works her arse off to stay in shape. As all of us should. Go drink some more calorie packed sour grape soda. After shotgunning a few more cheesburgers she says "Jackie Frank is one of the most respected editors in the country and I am in shock that they would say Jennifer Hawkins is a natural role model. Its like we've taken 20 steps backwards." WHAT? Of course Jennifer Hawkins is a good role model. She's hot and successful. Is a better role model someone who doesn't give a fck and displays their fat belly on the cover of a magazine? 20 steps backwards? So the enlightened future is full of fat lazy people? PLUS Bianca Dye admits she has had botox! And 14 is the average size Ricki Lee? And that's good? Every other article I read says we are now on average overweight/obese and about the worst nation on earth for it. And now we are celebrating that as "real"? Yep, it's gotten to the state where a hot woman is being panned for appearing on the cover of a fashion magazine. The fatties are out in force and Jennifer Hawkins has copped a hiding for it. Society has turned. Fat is now fine, apparently. Well deal me out. |

| I don't mind slim or fuller women, it takes all shapes and sizes etc, but I do object to the way JH has been criticised. It is hypocritical at the very least. |

| Fatties can be fat, that's fine. But don't advertise your fatness and try to say fat is either healthy or normal or good. And don't put down someone who obviously makes the effort to stay in shape. |
