I saw the ticket and knew it was $135 which I was a little p!ssed off at But tonight I received the formal penalty notice with 2 Demerit points!!! Is it just me or is that f*cked 6 parking fines and you loose your license......
P.S it was out the front of a school.

Sorry buddy, but im with Duy on this one, shoulda read the signs better. HOWEVER - 2 demerit points for just parking your car sounds a little rough.. i mean its not really a DRIVING OFFENCE is it?? We dont get points up here in QLD for those which is probably pretty good after seeing how efficient our parking inspectors are on Today Tonight this evening haha

nah I work near by and was busy lost track of the time and forgot to move it..... I think the $135 fine is enough of a punishment without 2 demerit points.... I mean thats the same penalty as 20km/h over the speed limit.

October 2007 Not displaying P plates 2 points $200 - back one fell off
November 2007 not displaying P Plates 2 points $200 - back one fell off again. (the celsior is tricky ended up cable tying it on after that)

“DARKEST LEGAL TINT” is a common term in car window tinting advertisements, and now car owners in New South Wales have even more reason to look for those words.
NSW Highway Police Officers have this week been issued with a new electronic device that can measure the darkness of a window’s tint, allowing officers to determine immediately if a fine is warranted.
Cars with windows tinted darker than the legal limit face fines up to $84.
NSW law requires that side and rear windows allow at least 35 percent of outside light to pass through, but according to Rob Hamilton, President of the Window Film Association of Australia, federal law allows rear windows to be darker.
“These automotive film rules are not widely known, which is why the instance of illegally-darkened windows is so high,” Mr Hamilton said in a statement.
“Drivers need to abide by state regulations because if a car is deemed unroadworthy due to dark film, it may receive a defect notice.”
Crap I've got 18% on the Liberty lucky though Cause I used to have 5% on the celsior

An electronic device?????
Jesus, what happened to the little piece of cardboard that required no batterys or anyting.
You just place it behind the glass, and if you cant read the printed text through the window, its done.
But nooooooooo, some legislators mates own an electronics manufacturing plant in china somewhere, and is making yoooooge bucks at the expense of the taxpayer.

I received a parking fine the first one I have ever received in my life a few weeks ago.
The fine was issues 1 minute after the meter expired and I arrived 2 minutes after. I was taking my Grandmar somewhere who has a walking frame and has lots of trouble with stairs and there happened to be quite a few. I am not aware of there being any dermit points in Vic and I have not received anything to date in regards to loss of dermit points.
As to the electronic device. The old method relied on a persons judgement and eyesight, maybe this is more consistent.
