Dave, that is a space frame but most likely made from steel instead of alloy. |

Dave I'm not sure exactly what you were expecting but Lambo's have been built like this for years. IMO they could use more modern designs along the lines of the Lotus Elise bonded aluminium trusses but for the low volume production the the space frame chassi still offers exceptional stiffness and strenght for the weight. But the cost of the car is and always has been rediculous and certainly little or no form of value for money. |

Something like that. There are a number of very good cars out there some in kit form which are around the 60 to 100k price tag which will outperform Lambo's Ferrari ect but they are often so rare no one has heard of them. Sadly most of these cars have been over looked as they are often built and designed for lower speeds where as the Ferrari Lamborghini have the impressive spec of 320 plus km/hr top speed on most roads in Australia and quite a few race tracks is of little use. |

| I have something against Lambo's at the moment. Tried to get a spot outside my coffee shop and 2x Murcielagos, 1 Gallardo LP560 soft top, a Jalpa, and an Aston DBS (yes DBS), all in my bloody parking spots! |

Why would you hope it wasn't? The majority of performance workshops will give a car a booting to make sure everything is performing well. What if they fixed something suspension wise and a vibration at higher speeds might occur? What if they had to fix at vibration at higher speeds? The only way to test that is by doing that speed. Theres so many different scenarios we're it needs to be done to test things. Obviously its not great in the eyes of the law, but if the job is to be done properly it has to be done. Thats just my view anyway... |
