I think Miles is right, I was quoting the dry sump figure.

911 Turbo 2010 does look to have impressive figures - but given that its still less powerful, and heavier than the LFA, I'd still doubt it'd come close to the LFA on the track.

Also, its still an ugly little beetle.

I remember Clarkson test driving the R34 GTR on top gear and he was playing with the G metre on the cars computer... he was throwing that car massively sideways and at very high speeds and it was only scraping over 1 G. Somehow I find accelerating at 2 lateral G a bit rediculous for a road car.

R34 GTR is not know for its brilliant handeling and corner speed. It is a brute force point and shoot object which is capable of exceptional accelleration out of corners due to AWD and very high power levels.

They cant corner as quickly as other cars one of the best high corner G force chassi available are the BMW's hence why I used that as a bench march for comparison.

Was the G meter measure average or peak G's the average cornering G force for the BMW's were just over 1G.

This was with street tyres and with semi slicks or full slicks high G forces are possible.

Keep in mind these generations of BMW are 12 or so years old and didn't have as much downforce as the latest models and probably significantly less than the LFA.

Again Toyota have been racing in many forms of motorsport for years I don't think they would have used a dry sump if it wasn't necessary. Over design, with a safety margin is very typical.

It would be a real shame if it was only good to 1.5G and you have oil supply problems which wrecks the motor when you bolt on a set of slicks and go the track.

Everyone has different tastes.

Personally I'd rather have a 911 Turbo than any of the other European cars except maybe the R8 or an Aston Martin. I wouldn't want the GTR or the LFA either. I don't particularly like the LFA's looks.. it's nice but it's nothing special. That's what the R8 and AM have. The beauty of a Porsche though is they have excellent build quality, they are very fast, and everyone (read: women) recognise them as a flashy supercar. And that's really the only reason to buy one of these multi hundred thousand dollar penis extensions anyway. If you want a track car you can buy a better car for a lot cheaper. And honestly, most of these cars ride like ass on the street because of their stiff suspensions.

So the Porsche is about the best in my eyes. Great build quality, recognised penis extension, but still real world livable. If you gave me a Lamborghini or a Ferrari I would never drive it. I hate those things.
