I'd give it a good run and have some fun doing hill climbs and stuff , without thrashing it ....much , then sell it and grab a bullet! http://www.bulletcars.com/cars/ss/ and spend the rest on a fishing boat and maybe a house.

I wouldn't want one in the shop if I owned the place. Sure the insurance covers it if it falls off the hoist?

we had a car fall off a hoist at armstrong holden, and i've never seen so many overweight men move so fast to hold it up (for the sake of the man under it not getting crushed). feat of strength there

Quote: "Nah way, i think he means he wouldn't trust any car with the average aussie bogan mechanic. Sure as hell ain't going to leave my soarer in a holden yard if you know what i mean" The mechanic here drives a Holden SS and I'm more than happy to have him service my car. He's an excellent guy, works on boat motors too. Mind you, I change oil myself, and it's only tricky stuff I take to mech. As for the Lambo, I agree with comments about the interior. Very low rent, and not in keeping with the style of the car. Soarer beats it hands down.

Hmm, they didn't think that law through very carefully did they? Maybe he could take a civil case against the garage owner for the cost of hiring an equivalent replacement vehicle for 4 weeks (bound to run to at least 50K), plus compensation for other damages etc, then when he couldn't pay perhaps sue the government for failing to provide adequate protection to innocent parties under law. Of course in the end that just makes the lawyers richer I guess.

you cant sue the government for that sort of its a good law and it should stay the way it is. theyve amended it now, so that if the vehicle was borrowed or stolen, the drivers ACTUAL car gets impounded.

Ah, you can sue the government in NZ, though its very difficult, it does happen from time to time, usually someone sues the courts.

Although I think it's bullshit how that guy can't get his car back I think he should stick to the point of "I want my car back because its MY car and I'm not the one who was speeding" but trying to get his car back on the terms of "I need my lambo so I can do house visits" just makes me laugh. I can also reach the sump plug from the top of the engine bay. I can change filter and oil without getting dirty or laying on the ground. <3 my rotor
