| You didn't necessarily do it in this thread but you did in the other, and your omission of the fact that you are a church propaganda officer suggests this "friendly car club invite" is in fact the usual jesus brigade setup where hapless victims will get treated as Austen describes. There is no such thing as trying to push atheism. You can't push nothing. Only religions can be pushed. We are all born atheists and religion is pushed onto some of us. The big objection is that within two days you have posted two god advertisements from a guy who likes to call himself Commander. Some of us see that as a worrying trend of crap creeping into the forum and would like it to stop. |

| Perry - fixed, sorry mate, I dunno how I did that! Simon - lol you've been slipping the religion thing in on a few of your posts mate. What prompted me to reply was your "pushing atheism onto others" bs That is a very nice Cressida by the way. |

| Thanks for the link Simon. Kadir, it is a factory colour although it looks a bit lifeless in the profile pic due to the gloomy weather. The wheels are something I got of a longtime member called Andrew Vlamos. Most aren't a fan of the style but they suit me. The dish is a lot deeper than similar styles of the same rims I've seen before. |

| Hello people. There seem to have been many digressions here, amid a general tendency toward illiteracy or at least poor comprehension. My first post on the first previous page noted the relationship with an evangelical american group and questioned the context and motivations. I made my point most clearly here: quote:I think someone who in their OP conceals who they are and what is their background before making an appeal which may improve their own commercial position deserves little respect. Would we respect a car dealer who came on here pretending he was a private seller with a hot deal for us? Same thing, and that is why I added the jibe. Let this bloke come clean on who he is and what he is doing and I might reconsider whether he deserves respect.
That many people decided this was merely an attack on religion per se speaks mostly of their own reading deficiencies. I can understand the interest of some in popcorn. I felt much like that myself seeing what was going on. Simon now says that it is not his web site and I take that at face value, although he does not deny he will shill for new payers. A pity Simon could not avoid the usual christian self-loving quote:we do more for people than you do.
Wanking tripe born of ignorance and vanity. By the way, I have here an example of christian assistance, reported by the ABC. It is only 180 words so do read it to the end |

"The Albuquerque-based organisation says it is responding to the Haitian crisis by "providing faith, hope and love through God's word in audio". How's about sending some money from that collection bowl rort. Fark me "faith hope and love"? These people have been smashed by an earthquake, where was their supposed God in the first place? What an incredible waste of resources and bible bashing at its best. |

| Might not lift the rocks Ali, but it might give them a bit more will to go on with things. I'm fairly sure that the place is very into Voodoo as a faith anyway, so it'd be interesting to see how popular the bibles are. If someone gets one and it helps them thru this, then I guess that's the desired outcome. Poor buggers |

Hapless victims? F*ck off. Peopke like Austen probably need counselling after answering telemarketing phone calls from India. Sooky Generation Y kids that can't stand up for themselves. "mummy, theres a card in my guitar case" I mean your scraping the bottom here arent you? You really are determined to crap all over this thread, (because you hate all religions and everything they stand for) a post regarding a car club, in a car forum, in the off topic section. There are Christians in this forum, so the post is certainly in the right place. I think if someone wants to post information about any car club that might be based around another religion, they should be able to do so. Its a common denominator. godspeedcc.com.au outlines everything the club is about in the forum login page, clearly. You can't miss it unless you are......hapless/related by blood to Miles. After everything Simon pointed out, clearly, legibly and honestly, you still are in denial, and want to continue a witch hunt against him claiming that some posts somewhere in another thread/time space/universe exist that somehow relate to this. You damn right he 'didn't necessarily do it in this thread". He didnt do it in this thread AT ALL. Clearly, your accusations have been completely misdirected, and still you persist. For the love of tim tams, Simon drives a f*cking 1UZ Cressida!! We obviously arent talking about Benny F*ucking Hinn here are we? And youd obviously have to have some genuine love of the best engine to ever come from a Soarer to enjoy a car of that calibre. Next time you see the word CHRISTIAN in SC, kindly close the f*cking door on your way out, and go soda blast your ageing fleet of clapped out yankee sh*t containers while theres still some metal left to work with. And for the record, penultimate means next to ultimate. You obviously googled a dictionary result and posted the 'literal translation'. Your Epic Fail.....concludes.

No, the fact that 'one persons religion' not religion per se, was attacked based on hearsay from another topic, speculation and lack of facts, is the only deficiency at large. That and my carefactor of about 10% for the unintentional offence caused. I mean, okay, some actual homosexuals might be offended. I can happily apologise to them, and reinforce my statement that its use, in context here, does not refer to ones sexuality. The rest of the 'chime in' brigade looking for a pound of flesh and trying to throw insults with fancy non-confrontational slurs like "You are filth"...."grow up"......and "childish", well I can clearly see how you are trying to avoid 'stooping to that level' by not insulting me properly. You did however, come down to my level, because the minute you decided to type a reply with try-to-be-clever-and-not-use foul-language-or-act-like-him intentions, your already tiny brain shrunk and slid down your insides before being lodged in your rectum, at which point the thinly veiled wanna-be-intellectual-like-David-Vaughn comments started appearing on your monitors. Fake rolex, fake people, I discard and I disregard. Those with popcorn, I think enjoyed really good value on this tight-arse-tuesday evening movie and should forward me the box office takings immediately, so I can buy a Godspeed T-Shirt for Miles and David. |

I can relate. I had a doorknocker and I politely told them that I was Buddhist and I was not interested. Then they said "did you ever think of converting?". What the F.. That's just rude. I respect your religion so respect mine. |

| I have nothing at all against religious folks, nor do I have anything against gay/straight/bi-sexual or undecided folks. I feel sorry for Simon who has done NOTHING wrong in posting his invitation to a Christian car club, and promptly received negative posts concerning his motivation for so doing. I am an OPEN MINDED individual who is quite prepared to accept that other folks have different likes/dislikes to mine.........that's life!. There is no point in getting your knickers in a twist over something or someone YOU personally don't agree with..........It's wasted emotion. I DO get annoyed with "Religious Door knockers", who are uninvited, and I simply tell them that I'm not interested and to go away. I don't HATE anyone.......(so far!) OK, carry on peeps. And if any wowser thinks that as a Moderator I should put a stop to this thread..........Tough Titty!. I like a good old ding-dong with popcorn as much as the next guy (or guyess!) |

| First of all I am an Athiest, though I would prefer to be called a Humanist. Secondly, there is unfortunately a very milltant mindset in a lot of Athiests which makes them just as bad as some evangalistic religious types. When I was younger, religion made me angry and I blamed it for so many of the worlds problems. I think there are two kinds of people. People who NEED to believe in higher powers - these people NEED religion - and people who CAN'T believe in things without proof - they literally CANNOT believe in higher powers. The important thing is that both types of people need to try and understand that this is the way the others are "hard wired". We can't be any different either way, so we just need to accept that and move on without getting all angry that people are different and can't help being different! Ultimately, I came to realise that its not religion that causes problems, its people not seeing and accepting that other people are different. |

| You are right, and you are slightly wrong. You dont have to be hardwired, but 99% of both sides are. Your views are shared by the wise. "From the viewpoint of a Jesuit priest I am, of course, and have always been an atheist.... I have repeatedly said that in my opinion the idea of a personal God is a childlike one. You may call me an agnostic, but I do not share the crusading spirit of the professional atheist whose fervor is mostly due to a painful act of liberation from the fetters of religious indoctrination received in youth. I prefer an attitude of humility corresponding to the weakness of our intellectual understanding of nature and of our being." ~Albert Einstein. |

"Uh, but Sarge, why are we doing this just to deliver solar-powered bibles?" "You stupid, stupid soldier. What these people need is ... hope!" Thanks for that, David Tra and others. Did it occur to the apologists that there are logistics involved in distributing this rubbish, and that for every item Y delivered, item X is not delivered? Funny thing, how god prefers to punish with earthquakes those people who live on tectonic plate boundaries. We know it is punishment for voodoo.
