A guy I know once transported a SL63 Merc from Tassie to Adelaide and it was taken for a joyride over the weekend before the owner picked it up. Some one had even smoked a cigar in it!!! That's a 500k car and the transport company was even recommended by Mercedes, not CEVA though so hopefully you wont have any issues..

Wow, that's exactly what I don't want to happen! I would sue for something like that, a gross breach of trust.
At least my car is "just" a Soarer, relatively common these days, so it shouldn't be as tempting. I generally HATE leaving my car anywhere though, because I fear things like that happening.
Actually I just remembered. My last UZZ31 I had in 2005 was hit by a tram recovery vehicle (massive truck) on Collins St in Melbourne. 2 weeks after I bought it.
Anyway, when I went to pick up the car from the panel beaters after work, the guys SON who was about 9 or 10 max, was driving my car around in circles in the carpark!!! Needless to say, the paint job was house, and I had to get them to do it again because the paint was flaking off after 2 weeks! I was
So I'm definitely paranoid after that little experience.

I used Autotrans a couple of times without drama, but a friend had his JZA80 starpped to within an inch of its life. No oil in sump, back tyres bald, gearbox dry.
Ceva Ive heard nothing bad about in terms of service, but a trailer tipped over with a blown 13B corolla on the top and a lotus exige underneath. And that was just leaving the depot.
When rob shipped my soarer to me, he took photos of the car behind the Autotrans trailer, as it was going up, the guy who drove it up and the general condition of it as the door closed up on the trailer.
Kind of a 'proof' that everything was primo and setisfactory up until the point it became Autotrans' responsibilty.

Yeah, I got a quote from Autotrans, they were a touch dearer than CEVA. Since I'm not paying for it, I had to go through the cheapest quotation.
I know about that trailer Aaron haha. When I was driving trucks for TNT logistics last year, we sublet our yard to CEVA.
It seems to depend on the driver loading the car trailer. One was meticulously careful, the other was dangerous... It's the luck of the draw sometimes.
.. I'll take your advice though and take plenty of photos while loading etc.

I know a guy who organises transport for motor show cars. It would be more expensive but they would be far more careful. His company organises transport for Audi BMW etc...for motor show events particularly here in Adelaide. His company is Double Kaye transport in Mt Compass S.A.

DO NOT USE PATRICKS auto care! They stole my gps, put loads of pin dents in the doors and other panels and delivered the car filthy dirty then forced me to sign the delivery. I washed the car at home and found all the damage but as I signed the car dirty I couldnt see them. Dodgy thieving and lying bastards.
I used CEVA recently and they're good. Just don't try to find their depot in Perth !
