| Hey to all. I just bought a complete ca18det with wiring loom and computer and gearbox and the K frame. ANd also enough parts to basically build 2 motors. got them real cheap. My question is what would be a good car to put this motor into ? Ive been told a hilux or something similar? but im after some ideas. Cheeers Mick |

| ususal datsun stuff, stanza, sunny, 180b (SSS ), 1600 etc. Mainly because fitting kits are available from a few outlets. Id like to see it in a Micra, though I think an SR would be more appropriate. |

| If you got it really cheap, try sell it all for a small profit and put it towards a 2JZ |

| Something light. Ke30 or ke55 would be good or even better sell the two ca's and buy a sr20. |

| N13 Pulsar is the easiest and cheapest swap. Can pick up good and running N13's for $500. The CA18DET drops right in and uses the same mounts as the original motor. Go pretty hard too |

| Haha yeh would make a great boat anchor. N13 sounds like the best thing. I want an easy fit. With a good power to weight ratio. And yeh sellin it to buy a 2jz is also in the cards. I just gotta put it all back together lol. |

| haha its a RWD out of a S13 silia. I looked at the specs and standard they put out 130kw so it should be better if i can get it up to 200 ? |

They are pretty much worthless produce very little power about 80-90rwkw, and cant produce much more than 150rwkw without considerable work. Sell them and start with a much better engine ie 1jz SR20 2jz ect. |

With bolt on mods you can get then up to 200-250kws without opening the motor. Your best bet with the ca would be in a datto or something small and light weight. One of my mates are currently putting one into a pintara atm. |

Yep at the fly but not at the wheels even if you did achieve that at the wheels they would last how many dyno runs?? Mate of mine did just and put a CA into a 200B he had 3 good low km motors fail on the track when pushing about 170-180rwkw 100% stock bottom end, cams, head work and high flow intake manifold, new exhaust manifold and big turbo what I would considerable fairly major bolt ons. He found at 150rwkw they would last without any issues push them a bit further and they didn't hold up. He ended up switching to a SR20 produced a little over 200rwkw 100% stock unopened engine with larger turbo and injectors only and had zero issues in a number of rally events track days ect. |
