Eh, when my friend had her surface piercing done on her chest it started to reject, it looked like a bruise around the opening on both ends, ended up having to take it out.

Here's some trivia. Lets say there's 8 million working people in Australia Each one of those spends 30 minutes a day on the internet looking up personal stuff, ie. not doing their job. Average pay rate say $25 per hour. That's 4 million man(person) hours wasted every day at a cost to the Australian economy of ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS. That's $100,000,000 that bosses, buisness owners, people who have worked their asses off for years to get what have and to be where they are and to be successful, are having to pay bludgers who think it's a great big joke to piss around on the bosses time. $100,000,000 pissed down the toilet everyday, just in Australia, because slackers aren't doing their job when they should be. I don't care if your job is stressful or whatever, it's what you are paid to do, if you can't handle it, get a different job. Nothing winds me up more than seeing monkeys bludging about while they are on the clock and thinking it's a big joke.

A lot of workers don't have PC access at work. Start with nurses, and see how many job categories you can think of that don't have PC access.

Finally! The peircing guy said that surface peircings can last along time, every person heals differently, but yeh. If the bar is showing more you need to get a smaller bar, as its starting to grow out. Every peircer says something different. Im just going to get mine changed to a smaller one, and see how I go, I like them.

Even if you halve the number of people it's still $50 MILLION PER DAY. Lets say there's only 2 million workers in Australia with PC access. It's still $25,000,000 (25 MILLION) dollars wasted EVERY DAY. And that's only 30 mins per day per person wasted. You don't have to have a PC, either. What about long lunches, taking 20 mins to read a magazine while you're in the crapper, thousands of other ways that people waste time every day. It sure adds up. Then people wonder why all the jobs get moved off shore. It's pretty obvious to me. Sorry Nat, hope your piercing works out. I can't offer anything constructive as I don't know anything about them. |

On the other hand Dan, if you treat work like a prison then you aren't going to keep good quality staff. Personally I let my workers use the internet for personal stuff during work hours, as long as they meet their project deadlines - they are both good guys and both professionals, and they have never let me down on a deadline, and will work long hours with high levels of dedication if the pressure is on, so I'm happy for them to watch their auctions and check their facebook during the not so buisy times. Statistics about lost hours are just nonsense, people are not machines and cannot be expected to work like machines. Except if they are Chinese children apparently.

I think that people should look up non related work things in theyre break at work, but definently not while they are at work, it can cause mistakes and gets you off track, your paid to do your job and get out of there. Everyone goes to work for the money, so you should do what your paid to do.
