sorry for stealing your idea nina, but im also looking for a laboring job in the building and construction industry. I'm 18, hard working and available to work full time including weekends. I'm currently working at Mcdonalds. My plans are to keep working at mcdonalds until I pay off my soarer and then start an apprenticeship in carpentry. only problem is it's quite hard to find an apprenticeship without having done prior studies at tafe such as a pre apprenticeship. also at mcdonalds I am not rostered many hours a week due to all the 16&17 y/o's being cheaper labor. so i thought i would give soarer central a go and see if anyone knows anybody who may be looking in a labourer. this would also look good on paper when looking for an apprenticeship as it shows i have had a taste of the industry and am not going to pull out after a week or so. If i can't find a labouring job, i would be stuck at mcdonalds for another 12 months or so until i pay off my car and then i would need to go to tafe for 3 months to do a pre apprenticeship and then look for an apprenticeship. too long for my liking. im wanting to put in the hard yards so i can pay of my car and start my apprenticeship as soon as possible. im located in the northen suburbs of melb but can travel. telephone number and resume can be provided upon request.
