In some other shots, it looks like as the driver applied the brakes the upper front ..wishbones?... bars of some sort just gave way under the pressure buckling inwards... as though something was loose or fatigued.
Guess that force caused the hubs/brakes to just shatter, blowing the wheels off at the same time.

The title of this thread is wrong though. That is a Toro Rosso car, not a Red Bull car. They no longer run identical chassis, the STR5 being designed by Ascanelli rather than by Newey. "Customer cars" are illegal from this year.
